Can we have our ball back please...?

Well, you're probably aware that a bunch of file sharing sites are currently 'frozen'... this means that, for the foreseeable future, BPFE is a graveyard of dead links.

Bah humbug.

I'm not going to go into my opinion of the situation, suffice to say that I'm obviously not a fan. But we have to deal with it. Until I come up with an alternative (or until 'The Man' finds another distraction) I'm afraid, I'm a bit stuck. If the situation becomes permanent, then I guess I'll just have to, ulp, just write about stuff and not hide behind the ultra-cool tunes.

Keep checking in BPFErs - you never know your luck.

Love, light and peace,

Rushbo

  1. Rushbo- Try Mediafire! It's actually nicer on the downloader (no limits to how many files you can DL at once, and far less annoying pop ups & such). They've expressed confidence that they won't be shut down.

  2. Rushbo, glad to see you're back! I can sympathise, since all my Shoulda Been Huge downloads were also hosted by Mega Upload. I agree with Adele - go with Mediafire! There's a 200 Mb upload limit for free users, but you shouldn't hit that unless you post FLAC like I do (or did).

  3. As you know I'm hanging fire like yerself, because although I believe that it will come good, we haven't heard the end of it, Mediafire are not safe, many are on the way there and that will just attract attention.

    Rapidshare the same.

I'm not going anywhere, but I'm also not gonna upload a whole pile of stuff and waste my time praying it doesn't go.

As you know, I'm working on a branch of the original place that'll keep the community going until such times that a path emerges that isn't like to subside.

You will be a part of that I'm sure.

Like Ralph, I'd invested a massive archive on Megaupload and the spirit isn't gone, just with precious time, like you, wait and see is the policy to follow to my eyes.

  4. I hope this isn't the end but a big Thanks for the great Green On Red and Blue Nile shows; I listen to them at least once a week since I got em from you.

  5. Hotfile is another good one, which hasn't frozen everyone out.

  6. If things get rolling again, any chance of posting Bill Nelson Metaphysical??

  7. Hi Rushbo, really enjoy your site and the picture you posted of the boy wanting his ball back illustrates the absurdity of the situation perfectly, sad to say...

  8. Rushbo,

I for one, would love to see more of your musical ramblings. I really enjoy your tales of the band! An album or concert post is nice, but the text accompanying it, is equally important, if not more so. You wear it well.

Hell, more bad gig stories would be more than welcome by more than just me. Think it over, my friend. I can't be the only one who misses this blog. I check in three times a week and would love to see a post....
